NISSAN SKYLINE R32 GTR TWIN TURBO 1992(J)

OWNERSHIP:
This R32GTR has had two owners from new with the first being a Japenese registration. I have the de registration certificate dated 2005 and the second owner u/k registered the vehicle in April 2008. The car came into my possession in early 2009 and has been in storage ever since.

HISTORY:
The Global auctions sales sheet shows this vehicle to have travelled 43506 miles as it left Japan and since arrival in the u/k the total now stands at 47952 miles. Once in my custody I placed on a well known rolling road which highlighted some issues concerning the engine leading to a complete strip and rebuild. Various other items have also had attention resulting in a vehicle which is now in very nice all round condition properly representing the low mileage.

EXTERIOR:
Finished in crystal white the bodywork with its aluminium front wings and bonnet is in particularly fine condition which when the age of the car is taken into account is remarkable. All the panels and straight and true with the paintwork although not all original once again setting a very high standard including a well presented engine bay exhibiting no corrosion to the strut top mounting plates. A full Nismo Aero kit is fitted comprising front spoiler side skirts, rear wheel arch spats and secondary boot spoiler.

INTERIOR:
A particularly pleasing feature of this car is the excellent interior condition enhanced by having a pair of Limited Edition black fabric Recaro SR seats with red leather inserts matching the Momo steering wheel. The dashboard and A pillars have not had extra instruments inserted this being restricted to a full set of in dash white Nismo dials and Gready boost gauge along with turbo timer. Air conditioning and radio CD player are fitted. The grey carpets also in excellent condition having been protected by a set of GTR over mats

MECHANICAL:
Within the last 100 or so miles the engine has been completely dismantled and rebuilt. Nothing major had to be replaced although all items were checked and renewed as necessary with full details recorded. The car has a reputed Garage Saurus modified ECU according to the original auction details and certainly performs strongly although the need to continue running in has not allowed this to be exploited. WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES:
The 17” Forged alloy R33 GTR wheels have been fully refurbished in satin matt black, fitted with new front 255/40 R17 tyres and very good tread depth rears. The brake discs and pads are showing signs of even wear but retain a smooth disc surface. Four wheel alignment (camber/Toe In) just completed.

SUMMARY:
This car has become somewhat of a project for me and is now in exceptionally good condition fully justifying the very low mileage. Nissan Skyline R32 GTR models have surely to become future performance saloon classics having taking over from the Sierra RS500 Cosworth in the early 1990’s on the circuits and were built from new with competition in mind. This particular example apart from its all round condition is a real pleasure to drive with a firm grip of the road, tight gear change and accurate steering all enhanced by the sonorous exhaust sound and potential of the engine. 12 Months MOT supplied upon sale.
