PORSCHE CARRERA 3.2 TARGA 1985(B)

OWNERSHIP:
Research into the cars history shows that the supplying dealer was Parks of Exeter delivering new to a gentleman in North London who kept the car for just over two years before selling to the second owner from the same area. His ownership then spanned a total of five years before finding a new home with a lady from Norwich. From 1997 it then resided with a keeper from the Cheshire area who looked after the maintenance very well. Six years later he sold by which time it had travelled in the region of 92,000 miles. Subsequently this particular example changed hands a few more times with the most recent attending to some significant service items.

HISTORY:
This very nice example was part exchanged with me for a 993 version so keeping the last owner firmly in the Porsche world. Sixteen stamps exist within the service book with the first nine performed by main agents and the remainder by Porsche specialists. Extensive documentation covers the period from 1992 onwards up until the present showing a high standard of maintenance. All MOT certificates are present from 1991 onwards which together with the service book entries prior to this period endorse the accuracy of present 103,071 mileage reading. The car is taxed until the end of October 2012 with the MOT expiring late September.

EXTERIOR:
Looking appropriately OUTSTANDING in GRAND PRIX WHITE with black leather interior this example is in very well cared for condition, showing few signs of ageing with an excellent overall appearance making the car a source of favourable comment as well as being free of unsightly dents or scratches.

INTERIOR:
Without being in mint condition the well looked after interior has benefitted from recent recolouring (connolisation) of the front seats along with the fitment of some tailor made over mats together with attention to the Targa roof which had been previously renewed. The impression is now a pleasing one that corresponds well with the exterior presentation and at the asking price will surely satisfy when viewed.

MECHANICAL:
Fitted with the pre G50 gearbox this car has just undergone a comprehensive GEARBOX REBUILD along with the fitment of a complete CLUTCH ASSEMBLY, S/S DANSK polished EXHAUST BOX and PRE SILENCER PIPE WORK as well as a SERVICE and replacement ANTI ROLL BAR BUSHES all round.

Along with a VERY PLEASING APPEARANCE both inside and out and excellent mechanical condition, make this an alternative to an expensive mint condition example that you would probably fear to use! Far from being a tatty used example this effectively bridges the gap in all respects.
